I enjoy the author and am surprised and pleased to see the use of her birth name instead of her pen name as claim to the author.
Great foundation.
Long considered one of the classics of modern occultism, it is wonderful to see this back in print. In this short treatise, Ms. Fortune goes into great detail about an area of occultism that had been formally regulated to Theosophy, and brings it in line with the western tradition. A true, almost forgotten, gem.
Classic words from one of the founding mothers of the modern occult movement. This rather autobiographical book should be included in any serious practitioner's library, as well as her other titles. Though definitely influenced by her time - rather quaint, by our lights - this book gives a view of the thought patterns that shaped the magic we practice today.
